In nature, a raft is a group of sea otters resting and supporting one another at sea — a symbol of connection, cooperation, and shared purpose. That’s exactly what our community represents.
But our Raft isn’t made up of just otters — it’s open to everyone who believes in caring for our planet and all who share it. Humans, wildlife, and wild places — all are welcome here.
When you join our Raft, you’re joining a movement of people who lift one another up, protect what matters, and help create a world where compassion and sustainability come naturally.
At the heart of our Raft is Bix. B, our wise and playful female elephant seal. She’s a traveler, a deep diver, and a fierce protector. She also barks a lot and plays a lot. We are here for all of it!
