How to compost your iPad cover

iPad Cover – Home Composting Instructions
How to Compost Your Cover (Home Compost Bin or Backyard Pile)

  1. Remove your iPad and stylus (No need to remove the built-in charging area—it composts too.)

  2. Tear in smaller pieces. Cutting the cover into smaller pieces (2–3 in/5–7 cm) helps it break down faster.

  3.  Place directly into your home compost

Works in:

  • Backyard compost piles

  • Home compost bins

  • Worm bins (it’s worm-safe)

Tips:

  • Mix into the “brown” layer

  • This material behaves like a thick paper/pulp product.  Pair with dry leaves, shredded cardboard, or other browns.

  • Keep your compost moist & turned

  • Moisture = breakdown. Aeration = faster composting

Breakdown timeline:

  • Typical home compost: 3–6 months

  • Cooler climates: up to 9–12 months

(Just like other natural, plant-based materials.)
Your packaging was intentionally designed to leave the lightest possible footprint.

How to Dispose of Other Materials
